Our friends at DC Brau have been generous enough to host us again (for free!) in the District for the annual JamBEERee, which brings together four of the DMV's area homebrew clubs. DC Brau has a very large space and boasts some fantastic beers on tap.  

We'll have two competitions:

• Anything goes beer competition.  We're planning to judge beers in a Best of Style format. Bring the best you've got and see how it stacks up against your fellow homebrewers from across the DMV area.  Registration details to follow. 
• A beer and food pairing competition.  It's simple: Bring a beer style that pairs best with a food item (savory or sweet). Just show up and let Keir Soderberg (of BURP) know that you have a food & beer pairing. It will be a popular vote contest. Each person/group that brings a food & beer pairing entry will be assigned a number. There will be tumblers with numbers on them corresponding to the person/group that brought a food/beer pairing at the opposite end from where we are gathering. Everyone will get tickets and they will put tickets into the tumbler(s) corresponding to the food & beer pairing entry they like. The one with the most entries wins. 

This is a great chance to meet new people and get re-acquainted with our friends from other local clubs while strengthening ties across the area's homebrewing community.  Try to make a point to meet some new people and expand your homebrewing network.
